Your First Visit
Although there are many options for getting together with us, we'll assume that your first visit with us will be on a Sunday morning.
Parking
The main parking area is located in front of the church building. Additional parking is located on the left and right sides of the building. You may also park behind the building.
Come on in!
The main entrance is at the center of the front of the building. As you enter, there will be greeters who can provide you with a bulletin and a "Welcome" packet. They can also help orient you and answer any questions you might have.
The Lay of the Land
As you enter the building you will come into the foyer. Directly in front of you is the Sanctuary where our services are held. To your left are the class rooms, nursery, and restrooms. To your right is our Fellowship Hall where we often gather for events.
When to Come
Our first gathering of the week is our Sunday School, which begins at 9:30 AM. There are several Sunday School classes to choose from. Some meet in the class rooms, one meets in the Sanctuary, and one in the Fellowship Hall. You can find out all about our different Sunday School classes by clicking here.
The morning service begins at 10:30 AM in the Sanctuary.
There is also an evening service every Sunday evening except the last Sunday of the month ("Food Fellowship Sunday")
You can find out all about our different services by clicking here.
What About Children
Children are a blessing from the Lord and we love children here. Families have different needs and preferences when it comes to Sunday services. Children are welcome in the service, but you can also take advantage or our Children's Sunday School, Children's Church, and Nursery. You can find out more by clicking here.
Attire
Wondering what to wear? The leadership of the church dresses formally with the men wearing suits and the ladies wearing dresses. Although some attending the services dress formally as well, the majority dress in what might be termed "modest casual".
What is a Sunday Service Like
We know that every church runs their Sunday Services a little bit different. So, you may be wondering what to expect the first time you join us. Although we don't always do things the same way, there is a fairly standard pattern.
We open with song, scripture reading, and announcements. Our singing consists of hymns, and for our scripture reading we use the King James version. This is followed by more song and our offertory.
Our offertory time is a meaningful part of our worship service—a time set aside to reflect on God’s faithfulness and to express our gratitude through giving. We pass offering plates during the service, allowing members and guests the opportunity to participate in giving as part of our worship. If you prefer, offering plates are also available at the front of the church, and you are welcome to give before or after the service, or during our fellowship time.
Please know that there is no obligation to give. We encourage giving only as the Lord leads and always with a joyful heart, as an act of worship and trust in God’s provision.
The offertory time is followed by song and our "fellowship" time. This is when the children head to Children's church.
You might be familiar with having a time to shake hands and say "Hi". Well, we do things a little differently. As the name of our church says, we are all about fellowship. We believe that we are to minister Christ to one another, and you cannot minister well to people you don't know. So we break for an "extended" fellowship time. It is not uncommon for newcomers to wonder if the service is over because everyone gets up and starts wondering around and talking. Don't worry, we are just getting started, so take the time to meet someone and get to know them a little.
Song calls us back from our time of fellowship.
This is followed by an expository teaching time where we are typically going through a book of the Bible verse-by-verse. Sometimes there may be a more topical sermon for a special occasion (e.g., Mother's Day) or a short break as we transition from completing a series on one book of the Bible to another.
We finish with song and prayer.
